The homemade Belgian waffles nearby were pure heaven! Plus, the cleanliness of my cozy room and the spacious lounge with a fridge for snacks added to the charm. Couldn't ask for more!
The bed was pretty hard and those pillows left our necks a bit cranky, but the lovely facilities and friendly staff kept the vibe up!

great access to parks and local attractions for weekend strolls
the lodge provided a comfy base for my weekend, with plenty of nearby parks and the beautiful Cambridge University Botanic Garden just a short walk away, making it perfect for leisurely strolls after exploring landmarks like the Fitzwilliam Museum, which was only a bit under 3 km away.

The proximity to Addenbrooke Hospital is a major win for those needing easy access. Plus, the free off-road parking is convenient when you've been on the road for a while.
The soundproofing needs serious work, as road noise from the busy street consistently disrupts sleep. The cleanliness of the rooms can be questionable, with reports of unwashed bedding and sightings of dust in corners. the outdated decor and furniture give the place a shabby feel, and there were complaints about the shower facilities being in dire need of maintenance. You won't find breakfast on-site most of the time, leaving you to scramble for alternatives.

Solo traveler satisfaction
The host Anna was extremely helpful, showing me bus routes, and local pubs. Even got an upgrade to a double room, which was a pleasant surprise, made my stay even better.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for what you got, I guess it was acceptable.

Had a lovely stay, but that hard bed was a bit of a downer. Chur for the friendly staff and comfy room though!

We had a great time staying here with friends before exploring local parks and heading to the famous university botanic garden. The host was friendly, and we appreciated having off-road parking. It served perfectly as a base for our adventures, making everything accessible and relaxing.
I found the room had a cleanliness issue, with a stained mattress cover and pillows that weren't fresh. This really impacted what could have been a perfect stay.

I loved how my room was upgraded and found the lounge cozy with a microwave and fridge for snacks. They offered a nice spot to kick back, with a lovely garden and a quiet area to chill out. The bed was a bit narrow for my liking, but it didn't ruin my stay at all. 😊

I stayed in a Single Room for 2 nights, and it was comfy with a lovely bed and the best sleep I've had in ages. The room was clean, had a good TV, and enough space for my bags. Plus, having a kettle with tea and coffee was a great touch. Anna was super friendly and even let me keep my car there a bit longer after check-out. Just a cozy vibe overall.
